FAQs

A micro enzyme peel is a type of exfoliating treatment that uses enzymatic exfoliation alongside mild alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to support skin renewal. Enzymes derived from fruits such as papaya or pumpkin help break down the proteins that bind dead skin cells to the surface, while AHAs assist in loosening these cells for removal. This combination allows for gentle exfoliation without the need for abrasive scrubbing. In this formulation, the process helps improve texture and radiance while maintaining hydration balance and supporting barrier function when used as directed. Last reviewed: April 2026

Individuals with sensitive or redness-prone skin may be able to use the product with caution, depending on tolerance. Because exfoliation can influence barrier function and inflammatory pathways, it is advisable to begin with shorter application times and reduced frequency. Patch testing prior to full use helps assess compatibility. Incorporating soothing and hydrating products after application can support recovery and maintain skin comfort. Those with persistent or severe skin conditions may benefit from professional guidance before use. Last reviewed: April 2026

Frequency of use depends on skin type and tolerance. Many users apply enzyme-based peels once or twice per week to support skin renewal without over-exfoliating. Allowing adequate time between applications helps maintain barrier function and reduces the risk of irritation. Adjust usage based on individual response, and follow with moisturiser to maintain hydration balance. Regular but controlled use supports gradual improvements in texture and clarity over time. Last reviewed: April 2026

After initial use, the skin may feel smoother and appear more refreshed due to the removal of surface buildup. Improvements in radiance and texture typically become more noticeable with consistent use over time, as skin renewal processes progress. Enzymatic exfoliation can also support more even product application in subsequent skincare steps. Results vary depending on individual skin type and routine consistency. Maintaining hydration balance and sun protection helps support ongoing improvements. Last reviewed: April 2026

Combining exfoliating products with other active ingredients such as retinoids or strong acids requires careful scheduling to minimise irritation. Using them on separate days helps maintain barrier function and reduces the likelihood of sensitivity. Monitoring skin response and adjusting frequency accordingly supports overall skin stability. Incorporating soothing and hydrating products can further help maintain balance when using multiple active treatments. Last reviewed: April 2026
