Avène DermAbsolu Recontouring Serum

I have been using the dermabsolu serum each morning for almost 3 weeks now. I find the applicator a bit tricky to use but I've enjoyed the product itself. It definitely has firming qualities and makes my skin 'perkier'. I love to massage the serum in with a cold jade roller and let it soak for a minute or so before moisturising. My only qualm is that it's fragranced but the scent doesn't linger and isn't irritating to my sensitive skin. My skin feels hydrated all day and I can confidently say this serum is the contributing factor.

The Avne DermAbsolu Serum is a super gentle and soothing serum. Great for everyday use. It has an applicator so you can dispense just the right amount of serum. It absorbs into the skin easily and my skin feels so much more nourished and hydrated to use this on a daily basis. I preferred to use this serum in the morning, rather than at night. Its only been a month of use, but I feel like it is doing a great job so far of keeping my skin hydrated and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Love this serum.

I have relatively dry and sensitive skin and this serum gave that boost of moisture that my skin needed; it is super hydrating and you wake up with plump dewy skin!! Compared to other serums though, I would say this is on the 'thicker' side, almost 'creamy' which is good in the sense of the moisturising properties but did mean it took longer to fully absorb into my skin. For reference, I usually use a hyaluronic acid which is almost watery in texture. As I have also acne-prone skin, the creaminess did worry me but fortunately in the 2 weeks I've been using it, no breakouts at all! There is also a light but pleasant fragrance with this product (I usually go totally fragrance free) but the fragrance didn't irritate me. I would say my skin probably isn't the target market for this product - I would recommend it for more mature skin as my mum enjoyed the serum more than I did!!

I love that I could use this during the day even though it had a natural Vitamin A alternative called Bakuchiol. It definitely gave an instant brightening effect, was non greasy, but rather silky smooth. The very slight shimmery effect gave me confidence to go without a BB cream some days & it produced a natural glowy effect. I can't tell just yet if it will help with smoothing of my slight double chin, time will tell.

This serum is like nothing else I have tried. The texture is incredible and my skin was left feeling so hydrated and smooth. I used this serum morning and night as I am usually so dry in winter and my skin just felt so great immediately after. The subtle scent is soft and refreshing. The texture of this serum a little like a hydrating lotion is just magic. Where as some serums can leave the skin feeling a little tacky this is like silk. This has become my new favourite beauty product. I will be telling everyone to try this.
