Medik8 H.E.O. Mask 2x50ml

Okay, ladies and gents. This is the most hydrating and quenching mask duo I have EVER put on my skin and I have tried just about EVERYTHING before and since (because Im easily swayed by new and shiny things). Ive tried just about everything medical grade (I knowits mostly marketing), and in between but MediK8 has some real gemsat least the ones not loaded with sensitising citrus oils. This mask is one of them as well as Liquid Peptides, Crystal Retinal, Clarity Peptides, and Press and Glow. All are fantastic on my sensitive, normal-leaning-dehydrated skin.

This is a two step mask both in tubes so better than a sheet mask in terms of waste. The first step is a cooling blue gel, it feels very soothing when applied. After allowing the first step time to absorb apply the second which is a ceramide type white cream. I have combination oily dry skin that is also sensitive and dehydrated. I reach for this mask any time my skin feels dry or looks like it needs hydration. The next day my skin feels rehydrated and it causes me no issues with breakouts or sensitivity. This mask doesnt give a very obvious result but over time I can see my skin is better hydrated it seems to work not just on a temporary level but provides better hydration and decreases my dehydration. Its not one that provides an instant fix but over time I can feel my skin has better moisture with less dehydration lines. It lasts ages but just be careful step one is quite liquid and its very easy to squeeze out too much.

I use this as my just before bed skincare routine after my normal nightly routine. I love the STEP 1 blue Gel. A tiny little goes a lonnng way so please dont make the mistake I did and plopped a dot on each top, bottom, cheek to cheek. Let the blue gel dry then apply the same amount of STEP 2 cream. I initially only used it twice a week as I did feel some slight tingling, but that tells me something magical is going on - especially when I woke with baby soft skin as opposed to an allergic reaction lol. I got used to it, then upped it to 3 times for a month, now I do it religiously every night because the effect it has on my skin is addictive and productive too. The produce being 52 with baby soft, smooth as glass skin. (As a complete stranger told me today after asking what make up I use? (I had mascara, blush and lippy on - no foundation) - she handed me her phone to input the products I told her I used so shed remember lol. I tried this for the first time last night in place of my regular PM moisturizer. I am already very impressed! I have a pretty lengthy skincare routine and was a little afraid this might be too much on top of all of that, but I was wrong! The 2nd step is like a rich moisturiser, but spreads and absorbs very well and does not leave me feeling greasy at all. For reference, I am in my 20s with combination skin and acne prone so Im always afraid of moisturising products clogging my pores or causing breakouts. The H.E.O mask is PERFECT. Super hydrating and I woke up to buttery smooth skin, but not oily or broken out at all! I use Medik8s Crystal Retinal 10 and Hydr8 B5 Intense serum (just started this one) as well, and have had great results with all of the products!

I adore this product, the two step process makes it feel like a spa within your own home. The blue gel is cooling on the skin and is packed full of ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and humectants which draw water to the skin we then dive into step two with a velvet soft cream layer. This is a luxury emollient jam packed with ceramides that just glide over the skin but dont put too much on or it will leave you feeling greasy. This mask is fabulous for those dry days, those times when you need an extra boost. I love this mask for when my skin needs an extra helping hand. I use this a couple of times per week for when my skin is looking a little tired this mask transforms my skin with a huge hydration boost. I use it all over my face, neck and dcolletage.

So my skin use to always be clear l, hydrated, no issues. But ever since I developed two auto immune disorders my skin barrier has given up on me. I tried every product that influencers recommend - was all a waste of money I tried ride Panthenol Centella You name it ! And I stuck to each routine for a few lmontjs I decided to ignore them all and do my own research and follow actual science and my skin was getting better but still not back to normal. I was missing lactic acid and urea into my routine, which this product has . Ive been using it morning and night and will do so until my skin stabilises then will reduce the Frequency. This is the only product thats helping my skin right now

This mask combo is amazing! I've used different overnight masks on my face some high end, but this mask was really comfortable to sleep in. Wasn't greasy, it soaked beautifully into my skin. The next morning my face felt like silk, much smoother and was really illuminated and plump. I've been using it in my skincare routine once a week, especially after I have used an acid or dermabladed, and it has certainly made a difference to my skin.
