Skinceuticals hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the skin and plays an important role in maintaining moisture. This essential molecule however has a short lifecycle in skin, with 30%-50% degrading every 24 hours. With age, the skin’s ability to produce hyaluronic acid decreases. Production starts to decline in the 20s and this decline accelerates in the 40s. Decreased production rapid degradation of hyaluronic acid contribute to signs of aging, including decreased firmness, less facial plumpness, and rough texture.

While hyaluronic acid is a powerful hydrator, the size of the hyaluronic acid molecules are too large for optimal skin absorption. H.A. Intensifier uniquely combines surface-hydrating hyaluronic acid with 10% proxylane™ and an optimal concentration of licorice and purple rice extracts to support skin’s hyaluronic acid levels.

Once or twice daily, apply 4-6 drops to the palm of the hand and dab onto forehead, cheeks, chin, and neck. Blend the product into skin. If using in the morning, apply after a vitamin C antioxidant serum and before a sunscreen. If using with a retinol at night, apply after retinol.

I got the HA intensifier sample size with a recent purchase and it doesn't disappoint. My skins looks plumper and it smooths fine lines. Easily absorbed and layers well under sunscreen/BB cream. Will definitely be purchasing a full size

Looking Forward to Testing This Serum

I recently purchased the SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier Multi-Glycan 30mL. I haven’t used it yet, but I was interested because the official SkinCeuticals website compares this product with the P-TOX Peptide Serum, which I’m currently using and absolutely love.

First Impressions / Why I’m Trying This:
The P-TOX Peptide Serum has worked extremely well for my sensitive skin — I’ve seen visible improvements and have already repurchased it. Since the H.A. Intensifier offers similar benefits but with slightly different results, I wanted to try it and compare the two. I’m hoping to find out which one suits my skin best and gives me the most noticeable improvement, so I can add it to my regular skincare routine.

I’ll update my review once I’ve tried it and can share my experience!

I can't believe this didn't break me out!

Hyaluronic acid usually is not my friend. I have sensitive skin with eczema around my nose (if I use irritating products) but I got this as a sample and it was enough to really see if it's worth it. I was worried it was going to cause hives or really dry skin as other Hyaluronic acid does, but it didn't! And I noticed my powder make up looked really good and smooth while using it!
