Stratamed is a breakthrough wound dressing gel designed to support the healing of compromised skin. This advanced, film-forming gel may be applied directly to open wounds, superficial burns, and areas where the skin barrier has been disrupted — helping soothe, protect, and accelerate recovery.

It’s also ideal alongside advanced scar treatments such as surgical excision, resuturing, steroid injections, laser therapies, and pressure garments, enhancing your overall results when used as part of a post-procedure care routine.

  • Suitable for all ages including infants
  • Safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Fragrance-free, non-reactive, and gentle for sensitive skin
  • Intended for single-patient use

A little goes a long way:

Stratamed’s concentrated formula means you’ll use significantly less product per application compared to standard creams or ointments.

A 5 g tube treats a 2–4 cm linear wound twice daily for over 90 days.

Stratamed 10 g is enough to treat a 5-8 cm linear incision twice per day for over 90 days.

Polysiloxanes, Siloxane resin

Stratamed is used for:
- The protection and hydration of superficial wounds, burns and compromised skin.
- The prevention and treatment of keloids, hypertrophic and excessive scars.

Recommended for immediate treatment post procedure and should be continued until the skin has fully recovered.

FAQs

Stratamed is a medical-grade wound care gel designed to support the skin during early stages of healing following injury, surgery, or cosmetic procedures. The formulation creates a flexible, protective film over compromised skin, helping maintain hydration balance and barrier protection while the skin recovers. This controlled environment supports natural repair processes and helps improve overall skin comfort during recovery. Stratamed is commonly used where the skin surface is fragile or newly treated, providing protection without heavy occlusion. It is intended to assist the skin’s natural healing process rather than function as an antiseptic or medication. Last reviewed: February 2026

Stratamed is formulated to support optimal healing conditions by protecting the skin from external irritants and reducing moisture loss. Maintaining a stable wound environment can help the skin recover more comfortably and efficiently as part of its natural repair process. The breathable film helps minimise friction and environmental exposure, which may reduce visible redness and discomfort during healing. Results vary depending on wound type and individual skin response, and the product supports recovery rather than directly accelerating biological healing beyond natural processes. Yes, Stratamed is designed for use on freshly closed wounds, sutures, and compromised skin when applied according to professional guidance. The gel forms a thin protective layer that helps maintain hydration balance while shielding the area from external irritation. Because early wound care is important, the product should be applied only after appropriate medical cleaning or as advised by a healthcare professional. Using a minimal amount allows proper film formation and comfortable wear during recovery. Last reviewed: February 2026

Stratamed is frequently incorporated into post-procedure care following treatments such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels, or microneedling. These procedures temporarily disrupt barrier function, and protective film-forming products can help maintain a supportive recovery environment. The lightweight gel reduces friction and helps improve comfort while the skin undergoes natural renewal processes. Always follow practitioner-specific aftercare instructions regarding timing and frequency of use after professional treatments. Last reviewed: February 2026

The formulation is designed to be well tolerated by sensitive or reactive skin during recovery phases. It is free from fragrances and common irritants, helping minimise additional stress on compromised skin. Supporting barrier protection without unnecessary additives helps maintain comfort while healing progresses. Individual sensitivity can vary, so monitoring skin response and following professional advice is recommended. The gentle, non-reactive formulation makes it suitable for delicate skin when used as directed. Last reviewed: February 2026
